Ryan Kelly Murphy, 27, of Rogers died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at his home, from a lengthy illness. He was born July 28, 1977, in Fayetteville, the son of Rick and Sandy Murphy.

He was a logistics manager for Murphy Sales Group in Bentonville.

Ryan graduated from Rogers High School in 1995, where he excelled in athletics. He was a member of the baseball and football team. In 1994, he was captain of the Mounties football team as well as all conference and all state.

Along with his love of sports was his love of animals. Ryan contributed to the invention of many pet products for the Murphy Sales Group. He was a board member of Paws for a Good Cause, which benefits animal welfare and animal organizations.

He had a passion for life and his family.

Ryan lived every minute to the fullest.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Sandy Murphy of Rogers and his father, Rick Murphy of Bentonville; two sisters, Mollie and Megan Murphy of Rogers; grandparents, Norwood and Faye Hill of Dumas and J.W. and Carrie Lou Murphy of Gould; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers with the Rev. Thomas Hatley officiating.

Internment will be at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Chastain, Chris Chalmers, Doug Gibson, Brad Bridgers, Mark Secker, Slade Bridwell, Matt Lewellen, Michael Prowell, Ryan Hale and Carter Jones.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 9 at Stockdale Funeral Services, 2898 W. Walnut St., in Rogers.
