Barbara Ann McIntosh, 87, of Springdale, died October 17, 2018 at Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Huntsville Ark., Barbara was the daughter of Clifford C. "Pete" Miller and Margaret Ellen Morris Miller.
She graduated from Huntsville High School in 1948, then attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville, where she met her husband, Ellis Landers McIntosh of Batesville. They married in Conway on July 31st, 1949. She graduated from Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff, Arizona; in 1968, and taught in public schools in Winslow, Arizona, and Russellville. Barbara was preceded in death by husband Ellis L McIntosh, April 21, 1996. She was a life-long Presbyterian. She loved collecting antiques, genealogy, traveling and shopping.
Barbara is survived by three children, Katherine Ann Miller (Karl) of Wichita, Kansas; Elizabeth Ellen Burnham (George) of Delaware, Arkansas; and Ellis Landers McIntosh Jr. "Lanny" (Becki) of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Two granddaughters, Margaret Elizabeth Tucker of Atkins, Arkansas; and Megan Ellis McIntosh (Guillermo Younger) of Miami, Florida. One great-grandson, Miles McIntosh Younger of Miami, Florida.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Huntsville Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
