Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth Alexander, 90, of Mountain Home passed away January 12, 2020, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born February 25, 1929, to Walter and Essie (Payne) Smith in McPherson, Arkansas. She married the late Louis Bennett Alexander on October 30, 1947, in Norfork, Arkansas.
Elizabeth is survived by two daughters: Trisha Howard (James) of Howards Ridge, MO, and Ginger Lackey (Curtis) of Mountain Home, AR; two sons: Trent Alexander (Louise) of Mountain Home, AR and Brent Alexander of Howards Ridge, MO; five grandchildren: Wendy Briggs, Angela Lackey, Garrett Alexander, Zachary Alexander, and Shenna Estes; twelve great-grandchildren and one sister: Mary Polston of Grants Pass, OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Essie Smith; husband: Louis Alexander; and three sisters: Nora Foster, Evelina Clark, and Ellen Riddle.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020, at First Assembly of God Church, 710 Bradley Drive, Mtn. Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. with Josh Beers and Larry Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Galatia Cemetery.
