Husband of Mary Suttle Jay
Married to Mary "Polly" Suttle on 3 Apr 1836 at Sparta, White County, Tennessee.
Occupation: Farmer, and Justice of the Peace, and Madison County Copmmissioner of Public Buildings in 1867.
A very small man, quick of speech and action, and he had a temper.
Came to Arkansas from Tennessee in 1834.
Hisparents were William Jay (1787-1840) and Elizabeth (Jones) Jay (1790-before 1860). Their burials are unknown.
