Gladys Williams Lowry age 86, of Crossett, AR formerly of Star City, AR died Sunday, June 30th, 2019 in Crossett, AR. She was born March 8th, 1933 in Star City, AR a daughter of the late Ben Williams and Gracie Raley Williams. She was a homemaker, a member of Pine Hill Free Will Baptist Church, she worked as a hairdresser, she loved to sew and was a wonderful cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Lowry whom she married December 19th, 1952 and he died August 27, 1998. A daughter in law Pam Lowry, a grandson Hunter Lowry and a sister Cathy Owen proceeded her in death. She is survived by a son, Robbie Lowry, Johnsville, AR, a daughter Debbie Lowry, Star City, AR. A brother B.F. “Sonny” Williams, St. Louis, MO and sisters Wanda Drake and spouse Jerry, White Hall, AR and Nita Weast and spouse Ricky, Star City, AR. A granddaughter Mandy Smith and spouse Mike, Crossett, AR. 4 great-grandchildren Evie Kinnaird, Holt Smith, Katie Smith and Taylor Smith all of Crossett, AR. Funeral services were 2:00PM Tuesday, July 2nd at Palestine Methodist Church in Johnsville, AR with Rev. Charles Cauley officiating. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Holt Smith, Ashton Wilson, Mike Smith, Benny Lowry, Clay Lowry and Greg Cheshire.
