Ermadene Durham Purifoy, 93, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Purifoy was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Simms, Texas. She was the daughter of Ealey & Prudia Bethena Martin Durham. She was a homemaker and member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Champ Clark Purifoy; and one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Purifoy Baker.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Sue and Rodney Moon of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald Clark "Don" and Johnnie Carol Purifoy of Texarkana; one sister, Winnie Skelton of Simms, Texas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
