Jamie Martindale Hickerson, age 89, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Monday, October 29, 2018, in a local retirement center. She was born March 10, 1929, in Emmet, Arkansas, and had lived most of her life in Texarkana.
She was a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church and was retired from Texarkana Arkansas School District.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B. C. Hickerson.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Prissy Hickerson of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Ron and Patty Hickerson of Newbern, Tennessee, one daughter and son-in-law, Janis and James Duke of Prosper, Texas, three sisters, Dorothy Otwell of Texarkana, Arkansas, Ella Bartee of California, and Carol McVeety of Texarkana, Texas, five grandchildren, Chris Hickerson, Michael Hickerson, Dr. Chelsea Hickerson, McKinley Duke, and Cullen Duke, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 P. M. Saturday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Richard Posey and Rev. Craig Jenkins officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
