Mr. Bryan was born in Miller County, AR., the son of Vinson A., and Uda A. Bryan.
He was fatally injured in a car-truck collision near the Fulton Bridge on Hwy. 67.
He died about a week later on a Sunday night in a Hope Hospital.
He was 23 years old when he passed away.
At the time of his death - he was survived by his entire immediate family. Besides both of his parents, he was survived by his wife Earline, and his son, William Jennings Bryan (who was only about 3 months old) of their home at 1519 Rose St.; his six brothers, Elmo Bryan, WWII Vet. of San Antonio, TX., Garvis Moody Bryan of the Quarter Master Corps; U.S. Navy, Long Beach, CA.; Dee Bryan of Amarillo, TX., Larry Bryan, WWII Vet., and Glen Bryan of Texarkana, Kenneth Leroy Bryan, chief radioman, U. S. Coast Guard, Panama City, FL.; two sisters, Mrs. D. M. Sowards (Wanda Hope Bryan) of Austin, TX., and Mrs. Jimmie Gabour (Ruth Uda Bryan) of Texarkana; and a number of nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Truman Bryan were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the East Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. V. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Joe Bland, Sid Flannigan, Millard Pierce, Clifford Collins, Leroy Sims, and Chester Lemley.
