March 31, 1929 - May 22, 2019

Gwin Dola Craig, son of the late Archie Gwin Craig and Cora Ovella Walker Craig, was born March 31, 1929 in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas. He departed this life May 22, 2019 at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 21 days. He was united in marriage to Mary Helen King September 8, 1951 and to this union three daughters were born. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Corporal in the Artillery Division. He was of the Baptist faith and a member at Macedonia Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.

He is survived by two daughters: June Craig of Olathe, Kansas and Carmen Lynn Gillihan and husband Jeff of Twin Creek; nine grandchildren: Scott Craig, Teresa Salinas, Levi McCurley, Jayden Gillihan, Tammy Hanson, Tera Ramirez, Crystal Hawkins and Bronson Hawkins; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Noble Craig, Thurman Craig, Bud Craig and Marlin Craig; one sister: Jewell Warnick; one daughter: Barbara Gail Rogers; former wife: Mary Martin; five nieces and newphews: Linda Ruth Langston, Carroll Ann Brown, Mary Jane Warnick, Bobby Ray Craig and Harold Wayne Craig.

Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, May 25 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Bruce Qualls officiating. Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers: Scott Craig, Alex Craig, David Salinas, Jeff Gillihan, Levi McCurley, Boone Love.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ernest White, Scott Bailey, B. B. Johnson, Bob Brooks, Tommy Moser.
