April 29, 1934 - June 18, 2018
Bobby Gene Johnson, 84, of Mt. Pleasant went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 18, 2018.
He was born in Mt. Pleasant to the late Emmett “Bob” and Lillian (Moser) Johnson on Sunday, April 29, 1934.
Bobby loved being in church, coon hunting, and riding mules.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Jo (Price) Johnson; two sons, Chet Johnson (Terri) and Steve Johnson ( Becky) of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Dawn Smith (Bob) of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, James Johnson (Connie) of Mt. Pleasant, Delmus Johnson (Betty) of Melbourne, and Conny Johnson (Jon) of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Jennifer White (Clayton), Cheyenne Smith (Jessy), Dakota George (Hayden); and four great grandchildren, Charli and Grady Smith, Case White, and Emmett Johnson.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Bobby Joe Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Brett Love, John Adams, John HunterAdams, Travis Tate, Brian McTeague, and Greg Vickery. Honorary pallbearers are H.B. Rodman and Danny Carter.
A funeral service will be held at Cornerstone Community Church in Cushman at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 with Brother Leonard Tharp officiating. Burial will follow at Reeves Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
