Wilford Lee Emerson, 82 of Pleasant Plains passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in Little Rock. He was born June 11, 1931 in Pleasant Plains to Herbert L. Emerson and Vera E. Phillips Emerson. He was a mechanic and of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bryce Emerson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Charlene Altom Emerson of the home, five sons, Roger Emerson and his wife Suzie of Cabot, Donnie Emerson and his wife Kelly of Beebe, James Emerson and his wife Jamie of Pleasant Plains, Scott Emerson and his wife Brenda of Velvet Ridge and Neal Emerson and his wife Barbara of Heber Springs, one daughter, Bettie Clark and her husband Dale of Pleasant Plains, one sister, Nelda Branscum of Salado, thirteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

There will be a private family graveside service Saturday, June 15, 2013.
