Kenny Wade Burress, 66, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at his home in Pleasant Plains.

He was born at Hutchinson, Arkansas on April 25, 1947 to Royal H. Burress and Oma M. Hays Burress.

He owned and worked at an electric motor shop for 30 years. He was a hard-working person with a kind heart. He liked fishing and animals. He loved his family more than anything else. He was a member of the Flippo Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where he served as deacon.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Priscilla Burress of the home; a son, Keven Burress of Little Rock; a daughter, Kristi Whitener of Maumelle; seven grandchildren: Grant Burress, Landon Burress, Zoe Burress, Juliet Burress, Caleb Whitener, Baylen Whitener and Hanah Whitener; and a brother, Royal D. Burress.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Joey Hays, Matt Hays, Morris Wood, Ronnie Westbrook, Lewis Chandler, and Brian McCord.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Flippo Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Helms officiating. Burial will follow at McMullin Cemetery at Pleasant Plains and under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
