Mae V. Godfrey, 90, of Searcy passed away on February 16, 2016. She was born June 11, 1925 to the late Ben and Lillie Huff.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Godfrey; two sons, Harold and Larry Godfrey and three brothers.

Mrs. Godfrey was an excellent gardener which was evident by her delicious tomatoes and beautiful flowers. She also was a member of Pleasant Plains Assembly of God.

She is survived by her four children, Silas Godfrey (Janet) of Judsonia, Gary Godfrey (Rena) of Pangburn, Maxine Godfrey and Brenda Godfrey both of Searcy; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Huff of Searcy and many other loving family members and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 19th, at Putman Cemetery in Pleasant Plains with Bro. Randy Altom officiating.

Daniel Godfrey, Larry Joe Godfrey, James Scott Godfrey, Mickey Godfrey, Trea Burress, Joshua Burris, Clayton Godfrey and Derick Godfrey will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be one hour prior at the graveside.
