JESSE ORVIS PARKER, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas was born May 22, 1926 in Busch, Arkansas to Charlie J. and Bessie (Gunnels) Parker. He departed this life on Saturday, June 30, 2018 in Bentonville, Arkansas at the age of 92.

Jesse had many friends and loved ones. He was an old-time country evangelist for the Lord for many years and sang and played instruments. Jesse served in World War II in the Navy. He worked on the Beaver Dam as it was being built and helped to build the dinosaurs at the Dinosaur Park.

He is survived by three daughters, Donna Barens of Garfield, Arkansas; Rita Callahan and husband, Michael of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Sula Arnold and husband, Chuck of Eureka Springs; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; several other relatives, and many friends.

On April 6, 1946 he was united in marriage with Mary Jorea (Davis) Parker who precedes him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bessie Parker; one son-in-law, Joe Barens; two sisters, Rena Lee Grandtham and Betty Ash.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson’s Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Nelson’s Chapel of the Springs with Brother Glen Warner, Pastor James Edwards and Pastor Kevin Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at the Walden Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd, Springdale, AR 72762.
