Mr. Arlis Richard Hinsley, age 86, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 in Dierks.
He was born on April 15, 1926 in Sevier County. He was retired from the D&E Railroad, was a master plumber, a member of the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and a World War II Navy veteran.
Mr. Hinsley was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Frederick and Iola Proctor Hinsley and one brother, Kenneth Hinsley. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sonja Hofert of Texarkana, Arkansas and Sharon and Archie Dorsey of Lockesburg, Arkansas; one son, Jimmy Hinsley also of Lockesburg; one sister, Verlene Perry of Euless, Texas; three grandchildren, Tracy Sutton, Nicholas Hofert and Jason Dorsey; five great-grandchildren, Whitney Sutton, McKenzie Hofert, London Hofert, Elizabeth Dorsey and Emily Dorsey.
Funeral services for Mr. Hinsley will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Dierks with Rev. Doyle Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lockesburg, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the funeral home in Dierks
