October 16, 1923 - April 12, 2019
Raylene Steelman, age 96 of Monticello passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 at The Woods of Monticello Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 16, 1923 to the late Arthur Ray and May Lyon Menter in Warren, Arkansas.
She was a 1940 graduate of Warren High School. She attended Arkansas A & M and was a graduate of Texas State College for Women at Denton and the University of Illinois in Urbana. In April 1952, she married Herman C. Steelman. She was a retired UAM Librarian. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Steelman. Raylene Steelman will be laid to rest at Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce, Arkansas.
