Glenda Jane Marchbanks, 93 of Walnut Ridge, passed away January 3, 2020 in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born November 30, 1926 in Attica; daughter of the late William Walter and Willie Lee McDaniel Hufstedler. She was the owner and operator of Glenda’s Beauty Shop for many years. At the age of 55, she went to Vo-Tech and got her CNA License and retired working at the Walnut Ridge Nursing Home. Glenda was also a member of the United Free Will Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Taylor; her second husband, Lavern Marchbanks; and eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa (Ronnie) Carson of Hanna, WY; two sons, Jeff (Peggy Maryman) Taylor of Walnut Ridge, and Paul Byron (Peggy) Taylor of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren, Tony, Sarah, Samantha, and Rebecca Taylor, Wesley Carson, Traci Stephenson, and Katie Sue Dillon; six great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 2 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel with Bro. Glen Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Interment will follow in the Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock,
Visitation will be from 12 P.M. till the time of service.
