ELKINS — It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie Warford, age 68, of Elkins who passed away on Feb. 15, 2017, at his home in Elkins. He was born July 14, 1948, in Patrick to William and Maggie Hall Warford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Bonnie Smith and Wanda Ball.

Jackie was a great mechanic with a love for hot rods. He was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed having family over for camping along the river on his farm. Jackie spent most of his time on his tractor tending to the farm.

He is survived by his lifelong companion, June Warford of Elkins; loving daughters, Jacqueline Warford and Jeanettie Kimes, both of Elkins; sister, Bessie Hattabaugh and husband, Billie of Elkins; brother, Raymond Warford of Elkins; sister, Barbara Wright and husband, Mike of Fayetteville; brothers, Johnny Warford and wife, Jonetta and Donnie and Randy Warford, all of Wesley; grandchildren, Daisy Jenkins and husband, Jessie, Danny Bohannon, Cynthia Campbell and husband, Hunter and William and Walter Kimes; great-grandchildren, Codi Bohannon, Marshall Jenkins and Mackenzie Campbell; stepchildren, Julie Rhodes, John Rhodes James Rhodes, Andrea Barrile and Cynthia Barrile Josephson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at Beard's Chapel with Ray Shackelford officiating. Interment will follow in McCord Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at the funeral home.
