Nellie Oliver, 98, of Rogers, Arkansas, died December 16, 2019 at Circle of Life at Legacy Village, Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born April 4, 1921 in Dalton, Illinois to John and Nellie VerWey. Nellie was a resident of Gentry for over 60 years. She had many friends in her church and the Gentry Senior Center. Nellie had many interests including playing cards, fishing, camping, embroidery and crocheting. She loved to cook and her house was the site of many family dinners.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Harold Barr and John R. Oliver, six sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her three children Sally Tooke (late Clyde) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Harold R. Barr (Carol) of Russellville, Arkansas and Beverly Wright (Buddy) of Rogers, Arkansas; four grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren; and seven step great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Gentry, Arkansas. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Gentry, Arkansas. Visitation will 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Gentry, Arkansas.
