SPRINGDALE — Bonita Duncan, age 81, of Springdale died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017. She was born on May 30, 1936, to Ila and Bernie Watson.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Bailey and her husband, Marvin. She is survived by her husband, Willis; a brother, Neldon (Sue) Watson of Cummings, Ga.; a sister, Deanna (Wade) Ely of Conway, Ark.; her children, Larry (Jo) Baggett, Pamela (Paul) Scaggs, Dale (Debbie) Baggett; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bonita always saw the need for children to build a relationship with God. She taught in the cradle roll department at National & High St. (Water Mill) Church of Christ in Springfield, Mo. She also taught the 4-year-old class at Sedona Church of Christ in Sedona, Ariz. and at Robinson Ave. Church of Christ in Springdale, Ark. for many years. There are many people who remember being taught by her or her teaching their kids, not to mention her very own children. Her motivation was to put God first in all things, and she shared this to all she met.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ, 1506 W. Robinson Ave., Springdale, Ark., 72764. Burial will follow at West Fork Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service-time.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Happy Hollow Bible Camp, 334 E. Kearney St., Box 101, Springfield, Mo., 65803.
