Ross L. Stinchcomb, 62, of Winslow, died Thursday. June 3, 1993, In a Fayetteville hospital. Born Sept. 16, 1930, at Colorado Springs, Colo., the son of Richard H. and Frances Irene Madison Stinchcomb, he recently retired from Devil's Den State Park and was a former employee of Winslow Public Schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Winslow United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Ruth King Stinchcomb of the home, to whom he was married March 22, 1955; four sons, David Donaghe and Richard Stinchcomb, both of Winslow, Bob Donaghe of Fayetteville and Ross Stinchcomb Jr. of the U.S. Army in Germany; three daughters, Linda Wenger of Anniston, Ala., Kaye Behnia of Fayetteville and Lisa Gibney of Harker Heights, Texas; a brother, Keith Stinchcomb of Casper, Wyo.; two sisters, Norma Cooper of Rice, Texas, and Lorraine Maune of Syracuse, Kan.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Winslow United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Parks Cemetery at Winslow under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

The children will hold a wake beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Stinchcomb home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Moore's Chapel.

WINSLOW — Anna Ruth Stinchcomb (aka Baby Ruth), age 86, of Winslow passed away on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, in Fayetteville. She was born on Nov, 4, 1930, in Winslow to Albert and Ada King. Ruth was the youngest daughter and last surviving child.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ross LeRoy Stinchcomb, Sr. and Bobby F. Martin; one daughter, Lisa Gibney; one granddaughter; and one grandson.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Linda Wenger and husband Russ, Kaye Barker and husband Mehdi, both of Winslow; four sons, David Donaghe and wife Jacque of Winslow, Richard Stinchcomb of Winslow, Bob Donaghe and wife Jan of West Fork, and Ross Stinchcomb, Jr. and wife Linda of Fayetteville; fifteen grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Although our hearts are grieved at the void she has left, may she rest in the eternal peace that she longed for.

The visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at Moore's Chapel with interment to follow at Parks Cemetery in Winslow.
