James Edward Reano, 71, of Ozark died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, in Ozark. He was retired executive director of the Ozark Housing Authority, member of the Jenny Lind Church of Christ, member of the Ozark Masonic Lodge No. 79 and Jenny Lind Lodge No. 503, honorary member of the Coal Hill Masonic Lodge No. 383, former deputy district 28, member of the Fort Smith Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge. Masonic graveside to follow funeral service.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.


He is survived by his wife, Dovie Reano of Ozark; two sons, Steve Reano of Ozark, Scott Reano of Ozark; two brothers, Joe Reano of Jenny Lind, Pete Reano of Huntington; and three grandchildren, Tiffany Reano of Clarksville, Jared Reano of Russellville, Kevin Reano of Ozark.

Pallbearers: Matt Coleman, Jarrod Burns, Davy Joe Kinney, Scott Jessup, John Warren, John Parrish.

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.

Dovie Arlene Reano, 77, of Ozark, Arkansas died Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a homemaker. She was born September 10, 1942 in New Hope Community, Drew County, Arkansas to Loyd and Lelia Goyne Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Reano; a brother, Jimmy Rodgers; and a sister, Merle Hickam.
Dovie is survived by two sons, Steve Reano and wife Mitzi and Scott Reano and wife Sherry all of Ozark; two sisters, Aurelia Pennington of West Fork, AR and Christine Pennington of Monticello; a brother, Ervin Rodgers of Crossett, AR; three grandchildren, Tiffany Reano and companion D.J. Schouweiler of Clarksville, Jared Reano and wife Brittany of Prairie Grove, and Kevin Reano and wife Amy of Hartman; and four great grandchildren, James, Lilly, and Edward Schouweiler all of Clarksville, and Josie Reano of Hartman. She is being laid to rest with her beloved companion Binki.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ted Darling and Brother Kendall Ross officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Mike and Darryl Pennington, Roy York, Mike and Chris McCall, and Matt Coleman. Honorary pallbearers are her nieces and nephews.
