Mary Jane (Elliott) Clegg, 90 of Magnolia, AR died Monday, May 30, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Clegg was born August 26, 1925 in El Dorado, AR. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Magnolia for more than 65 years and a member of the Clegg Sunday School Class. She enjoyed growing flowers, listening to beautiful music, and traveling all over the world with her husband, Oliver, especially the summers they were able to spend together studying in England. Above all, however, she loved spending time with her family and dear friends.
Mrs. Clegg is preceded in death by her husband Oliver M. Clegg; parents Ray O. and Dora Carolyn (Young) Elliott; and sister Anna Jo Howell.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Giles and husband Roger and their daughter Lilly Giles of Magnolia, AR; son Elliott L. Clegg and wife Robin and their children Christianne and Robbie Clegg of Ft. Smith, AR; dear family friend Margie Ward of Magnolia, AR; and loving caregivers Sue Jermany, Linda Snell, Minnie Hildreth, Paulette Reed, and Kizzie Daniels.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Raymond Cammack officiating. Visitation with the family will be after the services at the Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 320 West Main Street, Magnolia, AR 71753 and Magnolia Regional Medical Center, 101 Hospital Drive, Magnolia AR 71753.
