Obituary:
Bobby Stevens, 88, of Waldo, AR, formerly of Cullen, LA, died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia.
Bobby was born October 22, 1928 in Magnolia, AR to the late Paul Stevens and Lillian (Coleman) Story. He was retired from Baker Oil Tools and was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter. He was a devoted family man who loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Mavis (Burdine) Stevens of 51 years; daughter Lillian Sue Middleton; great great grandson Cash Martin Adams; and brothers Johnny Neason and Billy Neason.
Bobby is survived by his son Wayne Stevens and wife Phyllis of Waldo; son in law Gene Middleton of Houston, TX; grandchildren Toni Bowers and husband Brian of West Monroe, LA, Leigh Middleton and wife Jennifer of Deville, LA,Wendy Boyd and husband Greg of Waldo; Sandy Sumner and husband Jeff of Waldo, Lance Middleton and wife Amy of Arlington, TX, and Kimberly Kaley and husband David of Magnolia, TX; sixteen great granchildren; sister Pauline Tatum and husband Ozell of Stamps; sisters in law Nell Olmstead and Melinda Daniells both of Waldo and Jennie Tatum of Springhill, LA; special friend Sybil Hodnett and her family of Stamps.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, October 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Lewis Chapel with Bro. Steven McAbee officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Sumner, Hunter Sumner, Bobby Colley, Randy Leonard, Mark Adams, and Benjamin Haile. Honorary pallbearers will be Parker Sumner and Michael Boyd.
