J. J. (Bud) Askew, aged 69, a resident of Rosston for 25 years, died today at the home of a daughter in Amarillo, Texas where he had made his home the past two years. Survivors include five sons, Edward Askew of Hope, Otis and J. B. Askew of Dallas, Texas; Dual Askew of California; and Rufus Askew of Texarkana; two daughters, Mrs. Lossie Manning of Amarillo and Mrs. Exie Richardson of Dallas. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
