Obituary:
M.E. Fitzpatrick “Mr. Fitz,” 95, of Magnolia, AR, formerly of Emerson and Stamps, AR, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Dudneywood Assisted Living Center in Magnolia.
M.E. was born on May 21, 1919 in Minden, LA and served in the United States Army as a medic during World War II. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Stamps, AR and was a banker and retired from Farmers Bank and Trust in Magnolia, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Eva (Fuller) Fitzpatrick and his wife Evelyn (Talley) Fitzpatrick.
Mr. Fitz is survived by his son Danny Fitzpatrick and his wife Becky of Emerson, AR, granddaughter Julie Little of Greenwood, LA, great grandson Jonathan Little of Greenwood, great granddaughter Morgan Little of Greenwood, great grandson Jason Little of Greenwood, great granddaughter Brittany Brecht of Lehi, UT, great-great grandson Landon Brecht of Lehi, great granddaughter Lindsey Brecht of Benton, AR, granddaughter Lisa Brecht of Sheridan, AR, great granddaughter Meagen Price of Winnsboro, LA, and great-great granddaughter Gracie Price of Winnsboro.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Lewis Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Bobo, Bro. Leland Callaway, and Bro. Mike Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Benefield, Byron Whitley, Steve Keith, Jeff Hanson, Jonathan Little, and Clay Fitzhugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Little, Zane Barnett, and the Men’s Sunday school class of First Baptist Church of Stamps.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 315 Church St., Stamps, AR 71860 or Life Touch Hospice, 1707 B Eastridge, Magnolia, AR 71753.
