Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Magnolia for L. C. Sutton, 70, who died Sunday in a Magnolia hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Sutton, who resided at 805 Peach St., Magnolia, was owner of Sutton and Son Magneto Service in Magnolia. A resident of Magnolia for the past 18 years, Mr. Sutton was a former resident of El Dorado. He was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Magnolia. Survivors include his widow; a son, L. J. Sutton of Magnolia; a daughter, Mrs. R. T. Tollison of El Dorado; a sister, Mrs. Bayard Taylor of DeQueen; two brothers, Clinton Sutton of Longview, Tex., and Terry Sutton of Fal Furrias, Tex.; and one granddaughter.
