Obituary:
Larry Eugene Porter, 69, of Waldo, AR passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia.
Larry was born December 31, 1946 in Hutchison, KS. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hutchison. He was a retired security guard for Alumax, a gunsmith, and enjoyed working on model airplanes.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Mildred (Miller) Porter and a brother Richard Porter.
Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years Shirley Porter Waldo; daughters Sally Williams and husband Kert of Flintstone, GA, Teresa Britton and husband John of Stillwater, OK, Pamela McKamie and husband Travis of Magnolia; son Timothy Porter and wife Sheryl of Waldo; grandchildren Morgan Williams, Ashton Reynolds, Levi Williams, Micah Britton, Elijah Britton, Seth McKamie, Kelsey McKamie, Isaac McKamie; and brother David Porter of Ooltewah, TN.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 23 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia with a graveside service with Military Honors to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. John Britton officiating.
