Obituary:
Bennye Jene Paschal was born November 30, 1919 in Gould, Arkansas to the late W.P. and Kate Moran. She died on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Paschal of Magnolia, Arkansas, a step-daughter, Dorothy Franks of Magnolia, three sisters, Marzelle Moran of Magnolia, Annella Rana of Star City, and Sybil Nuckols of Magnolia and one brother, Charles Moran of Toole, Texas.
She lived in Magnolia from 1944 to 1996. In 1996 she moved to Hot Springs to be next door to her daughter and son-in-law and to be close to her grandchildren. She owned and operated Bennye's Beauty Shop in Magnolia for many years until she retired at age 75. She was a member of Central Baptist Church from the mid-forties and was active there until she moved to Hot Springs. In Hot Springs she became a part of the fellowship of Trinity Church. Bennye enjoyed her church, reading, her art work, friends, travel, but most of all her family. She was known for her generosity and her sense of humor.
She is survived by her son, J.D. ("Sandy") Crockett, III and wife Barbara of Matthews, North Carolina, her daughter, Robinette Oliver and husband David of Hot Springs, a step-son, Larry Paschal and wife Pat of Andrews, Texas, a step-daughter, Diane Scott and husband John David of Magnolia, a brother Eric Moran of Magnolia, and brother, Jack Moran of Hot Springs, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Lewis Chapel with Rev. Bobby Thornton of Trinity Church of Hot Springs officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home before services.
Memorials may be made to Charitable Christian Medical Clinic, 133 Arbor, Hot Springs, AR 71901.
