Obituary:
Aubrey Dale McGinnis age 78, of Hermitage, AR passed away March 2nd, 2019, at the Bradley County Medical Center. He was born October 14th 1940 in Osceola, AR, a son of the late Harry McGinnis and Audrey Crews McGinnis. Dale graduated from Arkansas State University in 1962 as an accountant, He worked in Pat Dodge Accounting Firm and also the Heath and Scarborough Firm in West Memphis. In 1975, he moved his family to Hermitage, AR where he became a tomato farmer. He was also the director of the Hermitage Housing Authority from 1992-2016. Dale was loved and respected by his community and will be greatly missed. Dale was also preceded death by his brothers Harry Boyd McGinnis, and Wayne McGinnis. Dale is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mildred A. (Midge) McGinnis whom he married June 23, 1962 in Osceola, AR. Sons, Richie S. McGinnis and spouse Robin, Branson, MO and Morgan McGinnis, Hermitage, AR. A brother Harold (Buddy) McGinnis, Jonesboro, AR. Sisters Dorothy Closs, Houston, TX, and Margie Wyley and spouse Bill, Crowley, TX. 2 grandchildren Kacy S. McGinnis and spouse Reina, of Oregon and Maddison McGinnis, Hamburg, AR. 3 great-grandchildren Brayden, Brookelynn and Brennen McGinnis all of Oregon. Numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Graveside service was 11:00AM Tuesday, March 5th at Union Hill Cemetery with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Arrangements were by Frazer Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Randy Clanton, Monty Adams, Bill Dawson, Mario Forseco, Hugh Harrod, and Gary Wayne Vines. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Pennington, the nurses and staff of Bradley County Medical Center, St. Vincent’s Hospital, and Chapel Woods Health and Rehabilitation. Memorials are preferred to Union Hill Cemetery C/O Fay Forrest 2031 HWY 8 South, Hermitage, AR. 71647.
