Obituary:
Gary Wayne Johnson age 70, of Benton AR. formerly of Hermitage, AR. died Tuesday, May 31st at Life Point Village in SouthHaven, Miss. He was born March 22, 1941 in Hermitage, Ar. a son of the late Albert Johnson and Vertie B. Childress Johnson Gorman. He was retired from Alcoa with 32 years of service as a millworker, was a United States Army Veteran, a Baptist and maintained his memberships in the Central Arkansas Plastic and Modelers Association and the International Plastic Molders and Modelers Association. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann Slaughter. He is survived by his daughter. Cindy Taylor and spouse Keith, Hernando, Miss. A brother, Ricky Don Gorman, MT. Pleasant, TX. 2 sisters, Sue Janet Courtney, Warren, AR. and Cathey Rose Baggett, Hermitage, AR. 2 grandchildren, James Andrew Hilton, Memphis Tenn, and SPC. Casey Lynn Hilton, FT. Stewart, GA. Funeral services was 10:00 am Saturday, June 4th at Frazer's Chapel of the Chimes with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Travis Baker, Bruce Baker Jr., Adam Ward, Kip Helton, John Quarles, and Spence Quarles.
