Obituary:
Scott Lavon Richards age 43, of Hermitage, AR died Saturday, September 2nd at his home. He was born December 4th, 1973 in Warren, AR a son of the late Wilson Richards and Linda Payne Richards. He was a graduate of the Hermitage Public Schools class of 1992, he attended and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a bachelors degree. During his time at U.A.M., he joined the fraternity, Sig Tau Gamma, where he made many friends. After college he was employed with Lucky Chevrolet as a sales associate, and soon diagnosed with a heart complication that lead to his early retirement. Scott was a fun loving person, and a friend to his classmates, his fraternity brothers and neighbors. He is survived by a sister Kelly Richards and her fiance John David Beaty, Rye, AR. A niece Madeline Beaty, Rye, AR. His best friends, Kristi Clanton and Shawnda Outlaw both of Hermitage, AR and his pet Rhett Rowdy Richards. Graveside service was 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 5th at Union Hill Cemetery with Rev. Tim Saunders officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Michael Crawford, Terry Richards, Matt Harrod, Russell Richards, Bruce Boykin, Bobby Richards, Mark Hollingsworth. Honorary pallbearers were Hermitage High School Class of 1992, Sig Tau Gamma Fraternity, Merl Richards, Alton Richards, Bobby Mann, and Keith Outlaw.
