Obituary:
Merilyn Kathleen Pipes age 76, of Warren, AR died Wednesday, July 22nd at the Bradley County Medical Center. She was born August 25th, 1938 in Monroe County, AR a daughter of the late Mardis L. Chandler and Lorene Brady Chandler. She was owner/operator of Merilyns Beauty Shop and a member of the Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jerry Pipes whom she married November 14th, 1964 and he died June, 23rd 2008. Brothers Larry E. Chandler and James E. Chandler and a sister Mary Janelle George preceded her in death. Survivors include a son Charles Leighton "Bubba" Curry and spouse Polly, Banks, AR. A siser Maycelle Smith, Warren, AR and a grandson Leighton Curry, Banks, AR. Funeral services were 10:00AM Friday, July 24th at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was the organist and The Tim Calvert Family sang. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active Pallbearers were Leighton Curry, Ronnie Bethea, Robert Johnson, Charlie Rawls, Allen Primm, Steven Smith. Honorary Pallbearers were Sonny Bethea, Dr. Kerry Pennington, and the Pirtle Deer Camp.
