Obituary:
Ronald Lee Wheeler, age 84, of Hermitage, AR, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at his home. He was born January 4, 1934, a son of the late Lee Wheeler and Irma York Wheeler Powell. Also preceding him in death was his wife Virginia Irene Wheeler who died August 15, 2016, and a sister Mary Alyce Wheeler Green. Ronald was a United States Marine Corps veteran serving in the Korean War and a member of Hermitage Baptist Church in Hermitage. He was a retired millwright, trucker and was Constable of Washington Township in Bradley County, AR, a position he had held for many years. Survivors are one niece Alicia Demarest and spouse Chris of Fayetteville, AR. Two nephews Al Green of Memphis, TN, and Michael Green of Springdale, AR. Two step sons Larry Baker of Union City, TN, and David Baker of Jackson, TN. One step daughter Carol Howell of Bolivar, TN. 6 step grandchildren and numerous step great-greatgrandchildren. Funeral service was 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 26, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Adam Hill officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial with flag presentation was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Al Green, Michael Green, Chris Demarest, Jason Baker, Justin Howell, and Wayne Baker. Memorials are preferred to Bradley County Veterans Museum, 210 North Main Street, Warren, AR, 71671.
