Obituary:
Beed Matthew "B.M." Johnson, age 81, of Warren, AR. died Saturday December 24, at his home. Born August 7, 1930 in Bradley County, AR. a son of the late Edgar Johnson and Gypsy Veazey Johnson he was a retired deputy sheriff for the Bradley County Sheriff's Office, a Methodist, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and the widower of Nona Bess Mills Johnson who died May 18, 1990. Also, preceding him in death was a son Ned Johnson, brothers Virgil Johnson, Dalton Johnson, sisters Audrey Berry, Lorene Reed and Margie Young. Survivors are 3 daughters Cathey Adair, Warren, AR., Glenda Coffman, Cleveland, TX. and Nona Farmer, Pine Bluff, AR. 3 sisters Athaleen Armstrong, Warren, AR., Willie Mae Lovett, Norfolk, VA. and Elaine Yarberry, New Boston, TX., 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Wednesday December 28, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. John Kidwell officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Matt Coffman. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls, AR. by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jody Barnes, Jeremy Barnes, Matt Coffman, Michael Von Tunglen, Steven Barnes and James E. Smith.
