Obituary:
Willie Merle Johnson Harrod, age 93, of Hermitage, AR, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at Bradley County Medical Center. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Kay Morrow (Phil) of Hot Springs Village, AR, 2 grandchildren Mark Harrod Morrow (Michelle) of Kingwood, TX and Kristin Michelle Porter (Ray) of Whispering Pines, NC, two great grandchildren Ashlyn Madison Morrow and Lexie Renee Morrow, her very special friend Kenny Kelly of Warren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years John Oval (J.O.) Harrod (1922-1997), her parents: James Franklin Johnson & Jodie Ophelia Gorman Johnson; five siblings: Sallie Lou McNabb and Jimmie Lee Brown of Crossett, Opal Reese Johnson of Hermitage, Joseph Chesley (Jay) Johnson of Cleveland, TX, Bob Ira Johnson of Lake Jackson, TX. A graveside service was held Monday, February 11 at 1:30 p.m. at Union Hill Cemetery with Rev. Richard Gambill officiating. Active pallbearers were Bob Ed Johnson, Barry Johnson, Randy Culbreath, Steve Rowell, Brian Harrod, and Hugh Harrod. Arrangements were by Frazer's Funeral Home.
