Obituary:
Mary Magdaline Harrod age 86 of Johnsville, AR died Friday, March 1st at JRMC in Pine Bluff. She was born September 17th, 1926 in Warren AR a daughter of the late Caleb Forrest and Lottie Standard Forrest. Mary was a devoted housewife and loving mother, beloved grandmother-great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her grandchildren. She loved gardening, canning, reading her Bible and fishing. She will be missed by her loving family, who remember her kind heart and generous nature. Also proceeding her in death was her husband Carl Tillman Harrod who died January 14th, 1984 and they were united in marriage in December of 1947. Brothers Luke Forrest, Kirby Forrest, Roscoe Forrest and Felton Forrest. Sisters Berince Trussell and Esper McGhee. 2 grandchildren. Survivors include her son Mack Harrod and spouse Tina, Rison, AR. 4 daughters Betty Bryant and spouse Larry, Hampton, AR; Brenda Reece and spouse Ed, Gurdon, AR.; Pam Lowry and spouse Robby, Johnsville, AR; and Pat Mills and spouse Melvin, Warren, AR. 2 sisters Alma Hall, Warren, AR and Maysell Johnson, Warren, AR. 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 4 at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was the organist. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jerry Don Forrest, James Ray Forrest, David Forrest, Mitch Forrest, Danny Forrest and Kenneth Trussell.
