Obituary:
James L. Corker, age 76, of Monticello, AR. (formerly of Johnsville, AR.), died Friday March 23, at his home. Born April 15, 1930 in Sumpter, AR. a son of the late William Booker Corker and Rosa Lee Parks Corker he was a retired lockmaster at lock #2 in Tichnor, AR. for the U.S. Army Corps. Of Engineers and member Eagle Lake Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife Louise Moseley Corker whom he married December 24, 1950 in Warren, AR. 2 sons James R. Corker and spouse Deborah of White Hall, AR. and Gary Lynn Corker and spouse Rosileia of Santos Sao Paulo, Brazil. 2 daughters Sandra Norris and spouse Sam of Monticello, AR. and Charlotte Hughes and spouse Jim of Benton, AR. 1 brother William L. Corker of Sherwood, AR. 2 sisters Mary Johnson of Jacksonville, AR. and Sarah Hogan of Maumelle, AR. 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Monday March 26, Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Charlie Williams, Rev. Mike Griffith and Rev. Tommy Lanthripe officiating. Linda Barrett was organist, pianist was Rosileia Corker, soloist was Gary Corker. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls, AR. by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bo Norris, Chris Hughes, Brian Hughes, Randy Hillyard, Doug Hampton, Chris Ledbetter. Honorary pallbearers were Men of Eagle Lake Crossroads Baptist Church.
