Varona Joye Huitt McDonald, 55, of Lawson, AR, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at her residence. She was born November 25, 1956, to Otha Mack Huitt and Evora Sharp Huitt Long in Warren, AR.
She was a loving mother, wife, and Nana Fefe, who enjoyed cooking for her family. After high school she attended Ouachita Baptist University and was a member of Cross Life Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death are her father; sister, Robin Huitt; and daughter, Laken Breanna McDonald.
Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, Marlon Steve McDonald; mother, Martha Evora Long, of Norphlet; six children, Amber Murphy Blackmon (Matt) of Hot Springs, AR, Shane Michael Murphy (Catina) of Port Charlotte, FL, Clint Huitt Murphy of Smackover, Robin Rose Hudson of El Dorado, Dusty Steve McDonald (Jorie) of Star City, AR, Katie McDonald Kent (Trey) of El Dorado; sister, Dana Huitt Eubanks of Little Rock, AR; and twelve grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Young’s.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Hermitage, AR, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Bro. Keith Nutt officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, 419 S. Madison, El Dorado, AR 71730.
