Lola "Walters" Caviness, 90, of Blytheville, passed away April 17, 2016 at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center in Gosnell. Â Lola was born to Albert and Jenny Lyles on March 5, 1926 in Elliott, Mississippi, where she lived until moving to Blytheville.

She was employed at TRI-AD and Columbia Ribbon Company until their closing. Lola was then employed at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville as a respiratory therapist for 23 years before retiring.

Lola loved fishing, flowers, watching humming birds, and cooking. She had a knack for cooking and baking. She took great pride in everything she cooked. She especially loved cooking for her family on holidays, where there was always a crowd at her home. Her favorite saying was, "If you leave my house hungry, it's your own fault."Â She loved watching Rev. Billy Graham and Rev. Adrian Rogers preach their sermons, along with Bro. Gary Hyde. Lola's devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggles, and ultimately gave her peace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Walters, Sr.; second husband, Nathaniel "Buddy" Caviness; two sons, Dale Walters, Sr. and Kelly Walters; and seven brothers and three sisters.

Lola leaves her daughter, Cheryle Walters Grissom and her husband Mitchell; sons, Lewis "Dago" Walters and his wife June, Ned Walters and his wife Mary, Danny Walters and his wife Cindy, and Terry Walters and his wife Kim; sister, Odeen Hitt of Calhoun City, Mississippi; daughter-in-law, Barbara Walters; grandchildren, Larry Grant (Lott), Kimberly Avitts, Dale Walters, Jr. (Candy), Brian Walters (Stephanie), Tiffany Hoskins (Chance), Angie Sawfford (Steve), Allison Hinson (Kyle), Cindy Howard (Nathan), Patrick Carr (Holly), Jennifer Harrison (Brad), and Jessica Roberts (Daniel); 19 great-great grandchildren, Jamie Avitts, Whitney Herron (Trey), Nathan Walters, Savannah Walters, Yaovalak Somsi, Kaitlyn Walters, Kaden Walters, Caleb Walters, Blake Hoskins, Haylee Jo Swafford, Kyleigh Hinsons, Kinley Carr, Emmilyn Foster, Hudson Harrison, Maddox Harrison, Will Roberts, Luke Roberts, Ella Kate Roberts, and Tyner Robert Hinson due in May; and three great-great grandchildren, Peyton, Raylee, and Carylee Herron. Lola also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, and friends to cherish her memories.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the staff at Gosnell Therapy and Living, and also to Dierksen Hospice for the care and love that was shared and shown for Lola.
