Dixie Evelyn Howard Ramey, 101, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at her home.

Dixie was born to William Charles Howard and Ruth (Stanford) Howard. She loved farming alongside her husband. Dixie had a strong love for her family and the Bible, she loved competitive games, especially dominos which she always won. She spent countless hours driving around looking at the farm land and teaching her grandchildren to drive. Dixie was born in Mississippi County and proud to be a life-long county resident. In her younger years she was Miss Luxora and was nominated for Miss Arkansas State. She was the family historian and known by all as a true southern bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Ramey and a grandson, David Stevens.

Dixie leaves her son Jim Ramey and his wife Susan of Lincoln, Nebraska, and daughter Nancy Ramey of Blytheville. 4 grandchildren John Charles Stevens and his wife Serene, Dixie Kathryn Pittillo and her husband Scott, Megan Julia Ramey and Dylan James Ramey. 4 great-grandchildren Ellie Grace Stevens, Jackson David Stevens, Charles Walters Stevens, and Ramey Kathryn Pittillo.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Wey officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 2, 2018, 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church. The family requests any memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church
