Norman F. Brooks, 69, of 307 North 5th, Ozark, died Wednesday, April 8, 1992, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center.
A retired car salesman for Anderson-Whitson and Holley Ford, he had benn a member of the Ford Motor Co. Society of Professional Sales Persons since 1948 and was an Air Force veteran.
He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for more than 25 years. He was a worthy patron of the Eastern Star, Lodge No. 424, and past worshipful master of Masonic Lodge No. 79.
Son of the late Clyde and Effie Wilbanks Brooks, he was born June 25 1922, at Alma.

Survivors include his wife Alice Evans Brooks; one brother, Sidney of Stillwell, Okla.; two nieces, two nephews, one great-neice and one great-nephew.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ted Darling officiating. Burial was at Highland Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Walter Holley John Parrish, James Ford, Kenneth Warden Jr., Gary Briley and Sam Sigman.

Honorary pallbearers were Billy Dow Huggins, Dick Jackman, Buster Smith, Mac Anderson, Skinner Pritchard, Jim Thomas, Demus Anderson, Clark Wood and Robert Pesterfield.

Alice Willene Brooks 94, of Ozark, Arkansas died Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in Ozark. She was a retired teacher from Ozark Public Schools, a member of the Teacher’s Association, and Charter member of Houston Cemetery Board. She was born October 10, 1924 in Alix, Arkansas to William George and Maude Etta Jackman Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Brooks; and two brothers, George Jackman Evans and John Jim Evans.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother CA Kuykendall and Lonnie Turner officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery under direction Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Charles Konzelman, Mark Mainer, Johnny, Jacob, and Spencer Larsen, and Alex Konzelman. Honorary pallbearers are past students of Ozark High School. In memory of Alice contributions can be made to: Alice Brooks Memorial Science Fund, Bank OZK P.O. Box 196 Ozark, AR 72949
