John S. Thomason, 85, of Stamps, formerly of Camden, died in a Stamps nursing home Thursday night. He was a retired lumberman, and a member of the Stamps Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Merle Thomason of Stamps, and Paul Thomason of San Antonio, Tex.; four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral service will be held at Proctor's Chapel Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with burial in Salem Cemetery, near Bearden. (Camden News - December 8, 1972)
