FULLER, H.C. - H.C. Fuller died at his home in west Bentonville on Monday morning at 6:15. It is now about ten years since Mr. Fuller came among us to make his home. For that length of time he has been before the people of our town in the pursuance of his occupation of painter and paper-hanger and we have yet to hear one word spoken against him as an honest, efficient and upright workman. He was known as a thorough, painstaking mechanic and always enjoyed the confidence of those who employed him. Those who knew him personally admired the efforts he made to care for the loved ones of the home. He was a good husband, a devoted father and a true friend and neighbor. Quiet, unassuming, inoffensive, he gave way almost too much to those who presumed on his disposition to not strike back. About a year ago the disease which caused his death - consumption - first made itself manifest and rapidly encroached upon his strength, but up to a few weeks ago he valiantly struggled against it and would not give up his place amongst the ranks of men. Day by day the weakness increased until at last the morning came which found him unable to rise and dress as usual. After that the end quickly came but those who were with him heard no word of complaint at the terrible pain which racked the poor, weak frame and when the end came it was calm and peaceful and those who watched by him in his last hours give the assurance that his peace was made with God and he had no fear. A wife and three small children are left to mourn the loss of husband and father. Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Dunham and Shipley at the residence at 2 o'clock Tuesday evening. Interment was in Odd Fellows cemetery.
