Conway, Jan. 23. - Mrs. Blanche Ann Meeks, 31, wife of Z.T. Meeks, died at her home near here yesterday. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Junior Smotherman; two daughters, Wanda Smotherman and Marion Meeks; two brothers, Boss and James Sims of Conway; five sisters, Mrs. Ester Taylor, Mrs. Ola Bradley, and the Misses Olene, Elizabeth and Marie Sims, all of Conway, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Sims of Quitman, and her grandmother, Mrs. Nancy Hudson of Quitman.

When Blanche Ann Fain was born on October 29, 1907, in Van Buren, Arkansas, her father, Counsel, was 24, and her mother, Minnie, was 18. She married John Smotherman and they had two children together. She then married Z. T. Meeks and they had one child together. She died as a young mother on January 22, 1939, in Faulkner, Arkansas, at the age of 31.
