When John M Trendley was born on July 8, 1861, in Dardenne, Missouri, his father, Paul, was 24 and his mother, Lucy, was 19. He had one son with Linda / Lillie A in 1892. He died on June 22, 1915, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 53, and was buried in Mayflower, Arkansas.
