When Rubert Evans and his twin brother Hubert were born on July 14, 1911, in Cabot, Arkansas, their father, Charles, was 34, and their mother, Ethel, was 33. He married Maggie Dilla Walpole on October 7, 1939, in his hometown. They had two children during their marriage. He died on September 18, 1996, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, at the age of 85, and was buried in Mayflower, Arkansas.
