Barbara Jean Ivy, age 79, of Banks, AR. died Friday September 21, at her home. Born September 26, 1932 in Lawson, AR. a daughter of the late Charlie Gates and Thelma Sorrells Gates she was a retired tomato farmer, homemaker and member Shady Grove Baptist Church at Jersey. Also, preceding her in death was her husband Neal Ivy, a son Ronnie Hicks, brothers Donnie Gates, Doyle Gates, sisters Ollie Baker, Regina Ann Webb and a grandson Robert Henry. Survivors are 1 daughter Debbie Henry and spouse Ervin, Warren, AR. 1 son Tommy Ivy and spouse Nell, Warren, AR. 1 brother Charlie Dean Gates and spouse Sue, Harrell, AR. 2 sisters Aline Haygood, Warren, AR. and Jackie Wade, Camden, AR. 4 grandchildren Dewayne Henry and spouse Sheri, Tonya Bryant and spouse Butch, all of Banks, AR. Vickie Rhodes and spouse Morris, Dayton, TX., Buddy Henry and spouse Nadine, Rye, TX. 7 great-grandchildren Anissa Henry, Kailey Henry and Zachary Bryant all of Banks, AR., David Henry and spouse Crystal, Sour Lake, TX., Mark Henry and spouse Betsy, Liberty, TX., Kim Mueck and spouse Mark, Livingston, TX., Megan Rhodes, Dayton, TX. 6 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday September 23, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Jersey, AR. with Rev. Ricky Smith and Rev. David Bostian officiating. Nina Harrod was pianist and "The Haygood's" sang. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ricky Roper, Jeff Taylor, Butch Belin, Jeff Strong, Gary Green, Buddy Henry, Dewayne Henry and Mark Henry. Active pallbearers were Ovid Grice, Leo Davis, Robert Franklin and J.W. Thomas.
