Lawrence F. “Larry” Hearn of Blytheville, Arkansas died Sunday, October 23rd at Baptist Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 75. He was born June 24th, 1930 in Blytheville to the late Jerry and Thelma Green Hearn and was the grandson of the late Harry Hearn. He graduated from Blytheville High School in 1948, attended the University of Arkansas and then joined the military. He retired from the military after serving over 27 years in the Navy and the Air Force. While in the Air Force he forecasted weather, had attended Penn State, Bellevue College (Nebraska), and Sinclair Community College (Dayton, Ohio) and was stationed overseas several times including four years in Turkey. After is military service he was employed by the NCR Corporation (as manager of Quality Assurance and Technical Services Department, Personal Computer Division – Dayton Ohio). He attended NCR’s Management College (Project Management, Engineering Management, and Financial Management). He was proficient in seven different computer languages and ten different computer operating systems. He was very proficient with his wood projects and enjoyed his time working with wood. He is survived by his wife: Lula Wayne Liston Hearn, by brother: Lynn Hearn, by his sister: Pat Westbrook, three children and several grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 29th at 1:00 pm at the Mayflower Cemetery in Mayflower, Arkansas officiated by. On line guest register at: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com. Military honors will be presented by the United States Air Force Honors Team, of the Little Rock Air Force Base.
