Patricia Ann Mayhew, 83, of Texarkana, Texas went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Patricia was born July 24, 1934, in El Dorado, AR to the late Abner and Bessie Pauline Cary.
She lived in Magnolia, AR for most of her life before moving to Texarkana, TX to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Magnolia, AR. Pat enjoyed life and embraced it to its fullest. She loved to read, shop, play bridge, and spend time with her family. She would celebrate the birthdays of her loved ones with a special charm and affection year after year. Her generous nature of helping others was a blessing to many. To know Pat was to simply adore her. She had a special wit and charisma beyond compare.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Max Cary and sister, Wanda Currela.
Patricia is survived by her two children LeeAnn Hampton (Richard) of Texarkana, AR and Jack Todd Mayhew (Deadra) of Colorado Springs, CO; her five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three siblings.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at East Funeral Home on Moores Lane in Texarkana, TX. A private burial will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10:30am at Magnolia Memorial Park Cemetery in Magnolia, AR under the direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
